Google has released their YouTube VR app

Google has released their YouTube VR app for the Google DayDream VR headset, which used compatible phones to create a premium mobile VR experience.

DayDream VR releases today for £69, which can use any DayDream compatible device to create a comfortable yet affordable VR experience. Right now the only two DayDream compliant phones are the Google Pixel and Pixel XL, though more DayDream compatible devices are coming in the future.

The YouTube VR app will allow users to view every video on the YouTube Platform, as a 360-degree video for compatible videos or as a virtual big screen "theatre mode" for traditional YouTube content.

Daydream VR will standardise VR on mobile devices, at least on Android-powered mobile phones, allowing consumers to be able to use devices from multiple manufacturers with the same mobile VR headset.

I kinda like this idea to be honest, might be something worthwhile in the future if it becomes compatible with iPhone's. Probably not though, but still a rather cool idea.Quote

What issues are those dude? As both a creator and a watcher, I've never had any problems with YouTube and I also love YouTube in VR on my S7, 3D and 360° videos are fantastic on it.Quote

Really i find that a bit hard to believe, Have you not been on the Google Product Forums they are plenty of people complaining about YouTube.

For me YouTube is broken with the Sub's video's aren't getting greyed out once they been watched can't remove videos from my Sub area they just keep showing back up.

I don't understand why Google/YouTube can't put an option into the settings about turning off Recommended Videos, I know why is cause Google can't be ass to put an option in, I'm one of these people who don't like Recommended Videos i would much rather find Channels myself.

I have been having these kind of issue off & on for nearly 4 years, I have been told bye people on Google Product Forums that Google doesn't give 2 you know whats about fixing the issues that people are having.

Another thing i couldn't give 2 you know what's about 360 videos either.Quote
