Half-Life 3 posters appear at Gamescom

Posters for Half-Life 3 have appeared at Gamescom, a games media event that is currently taking place in Cologne, Germany, but sadly it is not about Valve's next big game release.

While the poster may look like a big game reveal/teaser, it actually is just some clever marketing for an event titled "Half-Life: Three editors who played back then" (translated from German). The colon is very important here, this poster is not about Half-Life 3 but a totally different event.

This poster is some grade-A trolling, with the banner ad being paid for by GIGA Games and Spieletipps, two German video games websites.

Sadly this means that Half-Life 3 has not been confirmed, though at this point it is very unlikely that Valve will ever create this highly anticipated title.
