Halo 5 Forge will be coming to PC on September 8th, allowing PC gamers to design maps and play custom matches with up to 16 friends.

The release of Halo 5: Forge on PC will come with the highly anticipated Anvil's Legacy free content update, which will add a lot of new content to Halo 5: Forge as well as add several new maps, weapons and features to Forge.

The PC version of Halo 5: Forge comes from SkyBox Labs and was not developed by 343 Industries directly, bringing the Halo 5: Forge experience to PC complete with 4K resolution support, mouse and keyboard support as well as refined placement and manipulation for PC users.

At this time we do not know if Microsoft has plans to release Halo 5: Guardians on the PC, but at a minimum, this release means that Halo 5's multiplayer is functional on the platform and that the game's engine has already been brought over to PC.

Right now Microsoft has not released any system requirements for Halo 5: Forge on PC, though we expect them to release them soon.
