Halo Wars 2 will be playable at E3 this year

Halo Wars 2 will be coming to Xbox One and PC later this year and will be having a presence at this year's E3, including a fully playable demo.

Being a Microsoft published title the game will likely work using the DirectX 12 API and will almost certainly be coming to PC as a Windows Store Exclusive, using Microsoft's controversial UWP program along with it.

The Halo Wars 2 team is anxiously gearing up for E3, where the game will indeed be playable.

The game will be developed by Creative Assembly, the UK-based developer behind the Total War Series and Alien Isolation. Creative Assembly has shown with Total War: Warhammer that they are more than capable of creating a great strategy game with 3rd party IP, leaving expectation high for what they can do with the Halo franchise with a more traditional RTS style game.
