Hitman will launch with DirectX 12 support on PC, adding several performance advantages to the title from better CPU Multi-threading, increased performance in CPU bound situations and significant performance improvements on AMD CPUs through Asynchronous compute.

This was announced by IO Interactive at the PC Gamer Weekender, an event that is taking place right now in London.

Below is the contents of the above slide, which is pretty hard to read with such blurry text. I shows the benefits of DirectX 12 in Hitman, which will be available in the game when it launches on March 11th.

  • - better multithreading
  • - increased performance where CPU bound
  • - better experiences for laptop gamers
  • - asynchronous compute on AMD cards for significant performance gains
  • - early days but we will continue expanding and improving on the Dx12 experience in future releases
