Inno3D tease a potential GTX 1060
Inno3D have teased what could be Nvidia's upcoming GTX 1060, which should offer performance that is between Nvidia's GTX 970 and GTX 980.
Previous rumors have suggested that this upcoming GPU will be a new GPU that is using the same GP104 GPU core design as Nvidia's GTX 1080 and 1070, using fewer CUDA cores and potentially use less of the GPUs 256-bit memory bus. These rumors have suggested that this GPU would be a GTX 1060 Ti GPU, which will have 6GB of VRAM and use a 192-bit memory bus, but these reports have not been verified.
If the above chart is to be believed, Nvidia's upcoming GTX GPU will offer performance that is greater than a GTX 970 and likely come at a mid-range price point, making this upcoming GPU look perfect for VR gaming on the Oculus Rift or the HTC Vive.
Right now Nvidia has not announced any information on their upcoming GTX GPUs after their GTX 1070, but we will keep you up to date with more information as it becomes available.
