Killer Instinct Season 3 PC System Requirements

Microsoft has just released the PC system requirements for Killer Instinct Season 3. The game will also feature a built-in benchmarking utility.

Killer instinct Season 3 will be released on March 29th on PC and Xbox One and will be a free-to-play title, which characters on a one-month rotation unless players purchase them. On PC the game will be Windows 10 exclusive, though the game will be using the DirectX 11 API, making the lock to Windows 10 completely unnecessary.

The game itself will require a minimum of 4GB of system memory and is only playable on Windows 10 64-Bit. The game will require a Quad core CPU from either AMD or Intel and a minimum of a GTX 480 or an HD 5850, meaning that the game will run on the DirectX 11 API.

Moving up to the recommended PC requirements we see that we still need a Quad core from either AMD or Nvidia though I will say that an AMD FX 4300 and an Intel i5 4670K is nowhere near close to each other in terms of performance, making these specs look somewhat rushed and possibly inaccurate.

MINIMUM

OS: Windows 10 64-bit
PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5-750 @ 2.67 GHz, AMD Phenom II X4 965 @ 3.4 GHz
MEMORY: 4 GB RAM
GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480, AMD Radeon HD 5850
DIRECTX: Version 11
NETWORK:Broadband Internet connection

RECOMMENDED

OS: Windows 10 64-bit
PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5-4670K @ 3.4GHz, AMD FX-4300 @ 3.8 GHz
MEMORY: 8 GB RAM
GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670, AMD Radeon HD 7950
DIRECTX: Version 11
NETWORK: Broadband Internet connection

I have been playing this on Xbone. FPS is a bit crap as since this is supposed to be fluid combos, the fps during the combo changes is quite poor since Iron Galaxy took over. Even the menu system has delays.

Putting fps aside, I do love the game. I have both season 1 and 2. Preordered season 3 but it makes you think. I have spent over £100 on this game. Is it really worth it? definately not. Lets hope bringing it to the PC will help it out. Sounds like I am contradicting myself a little but even though its a great game, it is not worth the price they are asking. I wish I waited for season 1 and 2 twin pack to go on sale.Quote
