Knight's of the Old Republic II Get updated 10 Years after Launch

Star Wars: Knight's of the Old Republic II has been updated 10 years after launch, gaining controller support, widescreen resolution support, Steam cloud saves, full Steam Workshop Mod support and more.

Aspyr in partnership with Disney Interactive and LucasArts is proud to announce STAR WARS™ Knights of the Old Republic™ II - The Sith Lords™ is now available on Mac and LInux, along with a massive update to all 3 platforms.

New features to the game include:

• 37 achievements to be earned through gameplay
• Steam Cloud saves
• Native widescreen resolution support
• Resolution support up to 4K and 5K
• Support for controllers, including Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation
3, and Playstation 4, along with several others (check the system requirements for details)
• Steam Workshop support! We proudly worked with the Restored Content Mod Team to have their famous TSLRCM up on launch day.

As a big Star Wars fan this update is very exciting for me, as I firstly have never played KOTOR II and secondly that this game, which is considered by many as a classic, is brought up to date with wide resolution support and Steam Workshop mods.

Patching a game which is 10 years old is simply fantastic. With such a large update it would be easier to describe this patch as a full on HD Remaster, as this game has no doubt has had more effort put into it than recent HD remasters like the Prototype collection.

I'm going to look into it later, my only gripe is that it really needs a full graphics overhaul.. bring it more upto date, the story was solid, it was just the vast empty levels and boring graphics that made me yawn.Quote
