Left 4 Dead 3 release timeframe and characters rumored

New rumors for Left 4 Dead 3 report that the game will release in 2017 and already has names for the 4 playable characters for the 4 player online co-op first person combat game.

The Express reports that the there 4 playable characters for the game will include a woman called Katherine, a Gangster called Irvin, a comic book nerd called Keenan and a famous Kenpo fighter called Garret Jr.

The last game in the series came out back in 2009, but it is believed that the latest title has been given a 2017 release date.

Reports also claim that the four characters have already been given names, with the sole female said to be known as Katherine.

Right now it is hard to tell if these new rumors have any solid foundations, but it is true that gamers have been looking for a new 4 player co-op combat game, with Warhammer The End Times: Vermintide and other online co-op games recently seeing great sales and have an active community supporting it.

With Valve backing the HTC Vive so heavily and the company releasing their Source 2 engine to developers it is likely that we will be seeing some new titles from Valve in the future. It is also expected that Left for Dead 3 will support VR with the HTC Vive givien Valve's backing of that VR hardware.

I don't understand why it takes so long to make a game that is so simple. It wasn't depth or complexity that made the first two worth playing it was the very simple play style and the fact you could play with three mates.

The magic of the first two wasn't so much the game. The magic was all created by the circumstances you and a few chums could create.

That pees me off tbh. So many companies are now messing around on everything but games themselves.

Nine or ten years between releases just isn't good enough. What the hell do they expect us to do for nine years?Quote

Play other games mate!

I agree though, but ive come to accept that valve is just another smart cookie in terms of sucking money out of people, i hate steam for what it is these days, but i'm quite tied to it because that is where my games are.

I already given up on half life, there is no point in holding out for it anymore, and now they just want multiplayer games to sell mods and cosmetic crap.Quote
