Mad Max PC Requirements announced

The Mad Max Game, which is not anything to do with the recent cinema release, will be with us next month and now we have the PC requirements to look at.

On the CPU side this game recommends the minimum of a Quad core CPU, asking for a i5-650 on the Intel side and for a Phenom II 965 on the AMD side. What is a little strange is the system ram requirements, which are at a minimum 6GB and 8GB when you move to the recommended specs.

MINIMUM:

    • OS: 64 bit: Vista, Win 7, Win 8
    • Processor: Intel Core i5-650, 3.2 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 965, 3.4 Ghz
    • Memory: 6 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660ti (2 GB Memory or higher) or AMD Radeon HD 7870 (2 GB Memory or higher)
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Hard Drive: 32 GB available space
RECOMMENDED:

    • OS: 64 bit: Win 7 SP1, Win 8.1
    • Processor: Intel Core i7-3770, 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350, 4.0 GHz
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (3 GB Memory or higher) or AMD Radeon HD 7970 (3 GB Memory or higher)
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Hard Drive: 32 GB available space

Looking at the minimum GPU requirements we see a minimum of either a GTX 660Ti or a HD 7870 with 2GB of VRAM and as we move to the recommended settings we see this game slim more into Nvidia's favour, recommending GTX 760 or a HD 7970.

The game will be releasing on 1 September 2015 in North America, 2 September in Australia, and 4 September in Europe for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Those minimums aren't that far off the recommended. Jumping up wouldn't yield much performance increases(for the money) so hopefully this game can cope with lower end systems and scale well with much higher ones, otherwise people will just moan and complain about itQuote

The recommended specs are a little fruity, Since when was a 760 on par with a 7970 ? XDQuote

Ya I thought that too.. however every company lists a stronger AMD GPU and a weaker Nvidia GPU... don't know if it's marketing and being paid but it's pretty consistent. Could just be engines generally prefer Nvidia but meh who knowsQuote
