Mass Effect: Andromeda coming holiday 2016

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and it ain’t Christmas. It’s E3 again, and the game announcements are plentiful. One of the eye catchers of EA’s lineup is definitely Mass Effect: Andromeda. In case you missed, EA showed the game at their press conference last night with a trailer showing different locations in a view master kind of way. The trailer, built with the latest version of the Frostbite engine, also showed the trusty old galaxy map, and announced that the game will take place in a new universe. Oh, and did we mention it will hit the shelves holiday 2016?

Bioware wrote a published a post dedicated to Mass Effect: Andromeda on their blog, stating that when they finished Mass Effect 3: Citadel early 2013, that planning and designing Andromeda was already well underway. "We knew we wanted to start with a foundation composed of the best parts of any Mass Effect game: exciting new worlds to discover, great characters, and intense action. At the same time, we clearly wanted to expand the definition of what you should expect from a Mass Effect game," as stated in the blog post.

After the peaceful start with beautiful landscapes, the dirt hits the fan. The protagonist warps to a planet, and when he lands he’s not alone. You see a vehicle driving at very high speed, the protagonist running and jumping (he even has a jetpack), and an enormous structure or organism rising from the ground.

The trailer also announced that the game would be released holiday 2016. That’s right, you can play Mass Effect: Andromeda on your PC, PS4 or Xbox One next year. Are you excited for the new Mass Effect game? Let us know.

Was wondering the same too, don't think they did.

Gotta say E3 has been epic for me already. Dark Souls 3 reveal (), a new Hitman game (called it!), Mass Effect, and the entire Bethesda lineup.Quote

Well lets hope they learnt from Mass Effect 3 and start making it good again as the 1st and 2nd were great.
Also interesting they have moved from Unreal to Frostbite. From the looks every EA game will now be Frostbite which is sweet as it is a solid and powerful engine.Quote

Frostbite indeed. We don't know yet however if it's going to have mantle only support or EA will ditch mantle and move to DX12 altogether.Quote
