Metal Gear Solid V's Launch Date moved forward on PC

Metal Gear Solid V's launch date has been moved forward on PC, bringing it to PC on the same date as the PS4 and Xbox One versions. It has also been announced that those who Pre-order the title on Steam will also get a free copy of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, a prologue to Metal Gear Solid V.

"Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has announced it will release the PC edition of the eagerly awaited METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN alongside the console iterations on September 1st. Pre-orders are available now via Steam, which will include a copy of its illustrious prologue, METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES, absolutely free."

Metal Gear Solid V's Launch Date moved forward on PC

As many of you already know, those who purchase certain Nvidia GPUs will get a copy of Metal Gear Solid V for free when it launched on September 1st.

This change can be considered in two ways, perhaps what they said in the press release is true, that Konami have been able to build a worthy PC version of the game in less time than they initially though, so they have decided to release it early to PC gamers. On the other hand the game might be being rushed on PC as Konami continues to purge Kojima Productions from their system, though this is purely speculations.

Metal Gear Solid V's Prologue, Ground Zeroes has a fantastic PC port, which gives me high hopes for the game's full release, though until the game releases we really don't know how well the PC version will perform.

The one downside in Konami's press release is that the online component for the game, Metal Gear Online, will be delayed until January 2016 on PC and on October 6th on consoles. Right now little is known about Metal Gear Online, so right now we can only speculate about how exactly it will play.

I hope they don't release a broken game just so they can push it out at the same time. Having said that, I'm not going to pre-order and I won't be buying the game on day one, so not an issue for me.Quote

Well from everything I've read since yesterday it seems the only thing Nvidia about this game is the logo at boot.Quote
