Minecraft on Windows 10 is now one-year-old and has had over 6,000 bug fixes, 15 major updates and has gained several new interesting features.

Now both Microsoft and Mojang has announced that Minecraft on Windows 10 will be receiving Oculus Rift Support within the next few weeks, though only for the Windows 10 version of the game.

Our work is not done: soon we’ll be introducing add-ons which let you dramatically modify the rules of the game, and, in the coming weeks, we’ll enable support for the Oculus Rift, giving players a whole new perspective on their favourite game. There’s so much more planned.

In VR Minecraft is a totally different game, especially when it comes to scale. Those 1m x 1m blocks will look huge in VR and your building projects are going to look much more impressive because of it.

Sadly Mojang has not announced that VR support will be coming for HTC Vive users, but right now the Minecraft Vivecraft mod for Minecraft's Java based 1.7.10 version does fill that niche.
