Mirror's Edge Catalyst Gameplay Trailer

Mirror's Edge Catalyst has just received a Gameplay Trailer, showing new first person momentum based combat system and the franchise's trademark parkour system.

In this first Mirror’s Edge Catalyst gameplay trailer, experience the moment where Faith begins her rise from a carefree runner to the hero the city needs. Playing in first person allows players to feel her fluid movement, combat and power. This trailer features pre-alpha footage from a cut-down version of a full mission in the game.

From start to finish this game looks beautiful, from the city landscape all the way to the guards who the player kicks into the window. Morror's Edge has alwyas have a lovely aesthetic, but it certainly has improved in the sequel.

Here we also see the new Momentum based combat system which allows Faith, the player, to instantly KO opponents if she is moving at high speed, but will become much more vulnerable if she slows down.

This trailer showcases a cut down version of a level which will be present in the final game, but given the fact that this is Alpha footage we can expect the game to change before launch.
