MSI Afterburner 4.3.0 Beta 14 includes DirectX 12 overlay support and full support for AMD's new RX 400 series of GPUs and Nvidia's ten series of Pascal GPUs. This will allow gamers to view a lot of system data in DirectX 12 games, from CPU and GPU temperatures and usage stats to in-game framerate and memory usage.

This upgrade will allow gamers to more easily adjust their game settings to achieve a target framerate and allow users to easily monitor VRAM usage, memory usage and other data which will allow gamers to easily judge if they need to adjust in-game settings or if their systems require an upgrade.

Over the weekend we have tested MSI's DirectX 12 overlay support and found that it does not work on all games at this time, though it has worked flawlessly in games like Rise of the Tomb Raider, Hitman, and Total War Warhammer on our test system.

we have also updated RTSS, our statistics server that enables the overlay with MSI AfterBurner, yes we now offer DirectX 12 overlay support (albeit this build again is in BETA stages and should be treated as such).

MSI has admitted that this is an early beta build for DirectX 12 overlay functionality, so gamers should expect to run into some issues when using this new overlay. Hopefully, MSI will soon be able to release a more stable version of their DirectX 12 overlay support in the near future.
