MSI has revealed their new custom GTX 1080 Gaming X GPU, which featured both overclocked GPU core and memory factory overclocks giving this GPU enhanced performance when compared to Nvidia's Founders Edition.

On the GPU core this GPU is clocked at 1708MHz with a boost clock of 1847MHz, which is over 100MHz higher than Nvidia's reference clock speeds. The GDDR5X memory also features a +100MHz boost over the reference/ founders design, giving this GPU slightly higher memory performance.

This GPU features a fully custom PCB, giving this GPU enhanced power circuitry and allows this GPU to achieve higher overclocks and allows this GPU to use a larger GPU cooler design that ensures that this GPU will run cool and quiet under load.

The new Twin Frozr VI design gives offers a slight visual overhaul when compared to their older designs, with the illuminated MSI Gaming logo now featuring RGB illumination. Sadly with this GPU coming in RED and black the RGB LEDs illuminated logo offers no real advantage, as any colour other than red or white will clash with the rest of the GPU.

Sadly with this GPU coming in RED and black the RGB LEDs illuminated logo offers no real advantage, as any colour other than red or white will clash with the rest of the GPU. It seems MSI have not fully learned their lesson since the original MSI X99 Godlike was released.

Indeed, this is exactly why the Original Godlike was a fail.

It is only one small part of the design, so it won't be too bad. Perhaps they have a "black edition" in the works.Quote

"Sadly with this GPU coming in RED and black the RGB LEDs illuminated logo offers no real advantage, as any colour other than red or white will clash with the rest of the GPU" gets repeated twice ^^ not sure if that was meant to be?

That aside

it does look cool thoughQuote

All the best to MSI selling these over the Strix and FTW with their 'RGB done right' attitude.Quote

So this is dimensionally different right? It looks way shorter but much deeper than the standard layoutQuote
