Thanks to the guys over at Videocardz we now know what MSI has been teasing over the past few weeks, the GTX 980Ti Lightning, MSI's flagship overclocking oriented GTX 980Ti.

From what we can see here this GPU is a beauty, it has a lovely looking new cooler design which features 3 92mm fans and features a fantastic looking backplate which has a picture of the MSI lightning jet logo. In terms of clock speeds Videocardz have said that this GPU will have a base clock of 1203MHz, a boost clock of 1303MHz and a memory clock of 1774MHz which makes this GPU one of the highest clocked GTX 980Ti we have yet seen.

Videocardz say that this GPU will be released later this week and will have a very high price, though right now this is just a rumor.

This GPU will be a very interesting release, as MSI's lighting GPUs are well known to be among the best and most unique the market has to offer. Personally I cannot wait to see how this new GPU performs, but if what Videocardz says is true we may not have to wait for very long.

I was really hoping for a gpu with rgb lighting. This is just plain old simpel yellow, was hoping that msi would be first with rgb on gpus like they were on motherboards. And also, three connections? This has to draw a load of power and sound like a jet engineQuote

This does not suit me at all. I Am going ITX in my next rig in caseLabs X2M case and this thing is wide and huge. I want the best GPU I can fit in that single slot but this is a bit too massive.

I like how they have the yellow on the shroud saying OC, quite clever that let hope it performs really well and I don't mind the looks either not too OTT.Quote
