MSI's latest G-Sync Ultimate monitor brings together high resolutions, ultra high refresh rates, and high-end HDR support
MSI has launched a new high-end gaming display that delivers on all fronts, delivering high-end HDR support through its use of a Mini LED backlight with 576 local dimming zones, a QHD resolution of 1440p, and an ultra-high refresh rate support of up to 300Hz.
With its rapid IPS panel and 300 Hz refresh rate support, this G-Sync Ultimate monitor is designed to deliver premium HDR, low latencies, and resolutions beyond HD. In these regards, MSI's new MEG 271Q Mini LED gaming monitor delivers on all fronts, offering users VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified performance, 10-bit colour and support for Nvidia's Reflex Analyser and G-Sync technologies.
Mini LED monitors replace the static LED backlights of traditional monitors with grids of small "Mini" LEDs that can be brightened or dimmed to better match the content being displayed on screen. This allows for greater contrast ratios than standard LCD displays by delivering users darker darks and brighter highlights. This is how Mini LED displays deliver excellent HDR experiences.
This monitor's G-Sync support enables low latency gaming with variable refresh rate support, eliminating screen tearing while delivering smoother gameplay.
Below is what MSI had to say about their MEG 271Q Mini LED gaming monitor in a recent press release.
MSI, the world's leading manufacturer for true gaming hardware, is proudly expanding the hardware possibilities for all gamers. This time, we are honored to introduce our latest gaming monitor - MEG 271Q Mini LED that features NVIDIA G-SYNC ULTIMATE technology and patented mini LED backlight control. Definitely, it's a beast for competitive gamers and the E-sports scene. Experience extremely smooth and tear-free gameplay with built-in NVIDIA G-SYNC ULTIMATE technology. Patented Mini LED backlight control technology gives you a stunning gaming experience and incredible contrast by over 500 zones local dimming areas. Always improving, MSI will keep on challenging itself in the design of gaming monitors, and ensure that you are always ahead of your opponents.
Take on any game without tearing, stuttering, flicker, or artifacts. G-SYNC ULTIMATE dynamically matches the refresh rate of the display to the frame rate of the GPU. Unlike other solutions, its unrestricted refresh rate supports from zero Hertz up to the maximum supported by the LCD panel - so you can count on exceptional performance in every game.
Over 1000+ mini LEDs on the backlight unit and NVIDIA patented backlight control technology give you the next level gaming experience. The first ever mini LED monitor made for E-sports.
NVIDIA G-SYNC Displays with Reflex feature the world's only system latency analyzer. With the MEG 271Q Mini LED monitor, start every match with confidence, knowing your PC is operating at the lowest possible system latency.
One useful add-on for MSI's MEG 271Q Mini LED gaming monitor is its support for Nvidia's "Dual Format" mode, which allows 1080p content to be showcased at its native resolution across 25 inches of MSI's 27-inch 1440p display panel. This option can be enabled or disabled within the MEG 271Q's display settings. This feature makes this screen viable as a 1080p gaming screen for content that requires it. It will deliver better visual results than a 1080p images that's stretched across MSI's full 1440p display panel.
MSI has not revealed the pricing or release date of their MEF 271Q Mini LED G-Sync Ultimate monitor.
