MSI Unveils their Z170 Krait Motherboard

 

MSI has unveiled their Z170 Krait motherboard, a motherboard which uses Intel's upcoming Z170 socket. Intel's new 100 series of motherboards will be the platform for Intel's Skylake CPUs.

This motherboard features support for 4 slots of DDR4 memory, has 3x PCIe 16x slots, an M.2 connector and support for 7.1 channel audio. One new feature of this motherboard is that the first two PCIe 16x lanes will have EMI (electro-magnetic interference) protection

This motherboard is expected to be a direct replacement for MSI's current Krait motherboard, which is currently available for around £90, though pricing and availability are yet to be confirmed by MSI.

It's a budget board there might be guys coming over from AM3+ or LGA1155 that still have a high end PCI sound cardQuote
