Batman: Arkham Knight was one of the worst PC releases of recent years, being plagues with performance issues and even being pulled from sale on Steam and many other retailers worldwide.

This game is an Nvidia GameWorks title and a title which was also recently part of an Nvidia Free Game promotion with sales of it's newest GPUs, which makes this sub par port a big hit to not just Warner Bors' reputation but also Nvidia's.

Since launch Nvidia has been working with Warner Bros and Rocksteady in order to fix the PC version of the game, despite the fact that the issues with the PC version of the game are in no way related to Nvidia or their GameWorks library.

Nvidia's chief GameWorks Engineer, Tom Peterson, said that working on Batman: Arkham Knight is an example of how Nvidia can “help a developer get to market with a quality game”. Nvidia is also helping Rocksteady with parts of the game which is unrelated to Nvidia's tech as a gesture of good faith to the developer and those who received the game with Nvidia GPUs.

“Warner Bros. made a couple of errors getting the game out,” he said. “It had not been completely performance enhanced for PC. So now we’re deploying our QA resources and our engineers to make that video game as good as it potentially can be”

An Interim Patch for the PC version of the game is expected to come next month, but a fully fixed version of the game is still months away.

Hopefully Batman Arkham Knight will be brought back in a completely fixed state, giving PC players not just a functional version of the game but the definitive version of the game with the PC only visual features which were promised before launch.

For some reason I doubt that with Nvidia being involved the game will be fixed for AMD users.Quote

The game needs fixing, end of. Doesn't matter what card you are using it runs like dog turd.

I get about 19 FPS atm. And believe it or not it is in the game dev's interest to fix it for all, last thing you would want is AMD owners either stealing or boycotting your software because you don't give a crap. That could be a very expensive exercise in fanboyism at its worst.Quote
