Right now in-game photography, screenshots, offer gamers a very limited way to capture a digital image, restricting players to the in-game camera view which is often obscured by the game's UI and other gameplay aiding elements. Screenshots are also limited to the resolution that the player is using, which is limited by the monitors and gaming hardware that PC gamers utilise, but this ends today with Nvidia's Ansel.
Nvidia Ansel is a digital photography tool for games, giving players to opportunity to capture the perfect image with a free moving camera and the ability to pause a scene, giving digital photographers the tools that they need to truly take digital photography to the next stage.
Now Nvidia Ansel has now been added to Mirror's Edge Catalyst, opening up the game to some photography bliss.
Mirror’s Edge™ Catalyst is now enabled with NVIDIA Ansel, a powerful, easy-to-use game camera that lets you capture professional-grade screenshots in ways you never could before.
This technology is supported by Nvidia 600 series GPUs and newer, but will require Nvidia's latest GPU driver to use.
