Overwatch will be getting 21:9 support

Blizzard Developer Jeff Kaplan has confirmed that Overwatch will be receiving 21:9 resolution support on the PC in a future update, stating that update should be released in late July.

This addition to the game will move Overwatch one step closer to being a perfect PC version of a game, already supporting a wide range of control options, a highly detailed graphical options menu, and great PC performance on even lower end hardware.

I'd like to go 21:9. 3440x1440 and maybe some 144hz goodness? Don't care if it's freesync/Gsync or nothing. Would be the dream monitor.. But as it is, not many people have it. They still should have supported it out the gate though. Anything from 4k down should be supported.Quote

Well this is some good news, as I'm waiting for the new Acer Predator X34P monitor to come and once again get myself into the 21:9 club Quote

I was under the impression 21:9 was initially left out as to not offer a competitive advantage over 16:9 due to the wider field of view. Glad it's going to available now thoughQuote
