PC is EA's Second Strongest Platform

EA has recently released their sales results for the first quarter of the 2016 fiscal, revealing that PC is EA's second most popular platform.

According to EA's reports PC makes up for 21% of EA's earnings, with 41% coming in from the Xbox One and PS4 combined and a further 24% coming from the last generation PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. Assuming that the PS4 is more popular than the Xbox One we can place the PC as a clear second place in terms of earnings per platform, as a 1:1 ratio for earning form Xbox One and PS4 is unlikely.

This is not the only company which has seen PC rise to become it's second biggest earner, with Ubisoft recently revealing that PC was it's second strongest platform. Hopefully this rise in popularity will encourage publishers like EA and Ubisoft to take PC development more seriously and create satisfying PC ports and prevent catastrophes like Assassin's Creed Unity and Batman: Arkham Knight from occurring.

EA is infamous about their policy regarding sales but at least I don't remember the last time they crippled the graphics of a game so consoles=PCsQuote
