Pokemon Uranium - Pokemon Goes to PC

Let's have a look at Pokemon Uranium, the new/unofficial Pokemon adventure which has been eight years in the making for PC in RPG Maker XP.

While this game lacks the 3D models and advanced graphics of the most recent Pokemon games, Nuclear is undoubtedly the same Pokemon that we all know and love, with a similar look and feel to a lot of the earlier games in the series.

As the title suggests the game introduces the new Nuclear type, which is super effective against all other types but also weak to all other types in the game, presenting an interesting new trade-off to consider.

Pokemon Uranium is a fan-made Pokemon RPG that has been in development for over 9 years. Set in the tropical Tandor region, the player will encounter more than 150 all-new species of Pokemon in their quest to collect all 8 Gym Badges and triumph over the Tandor League. Along the way, the player must battle against a sinister threat that's causing Nuclear Meltdowns, and will encounter an all-new type of Pokemon: the Nuclear type.

Like all other Pokemon games you start off as a young child who leaves home on an adventure, but unlike other Pokemon games, players will be travelling for a reason, as their guardian is ill and the player must take on a Pokemon research job to get by.

The game is based in the new Tandor region and like all other Pokemon games, there will be eight badges and rivals to beat, even newer editions too the series like Mega Evolutions have been added. Alongside this, there will also be additional side quests and other activities to do alongside traditional battling and Pokemon collecting.

Right now the game is available to download on Pokemon Uranium's Official Forum, though there is also a download link on their official Twitter due to the site's recent downtime due to exceedingly high demand for this unofficial Pokemon game.
