Quantum Break's DRM can treat legitimate users like pirates

Quantum Break's DRM can treat legitimate users like pirates if they are not connected to the Windows Store. Thankfully the game only makes the user look like a pirate, giving game's protagonist an eye patch.

This Anti-Piracy DRM does not seem to have any adverse affects on playing the game, unless the eyepatch somehow breaks your immersion in a game about time travel.

So far in our testing of Quantum Break so far, our connection to the Windows Store has never been severed, but those with weaker internet connections may have to look at Jack Jayce in his "Captain Jack" costume.

Inside the game's official FAQ we have this little gem, letting us know exactly why this issue may occur for users.

Jack looks like a pirate?

DRM might've accidentally triggered. Make sure you've logged into your Microsoft account before starting the game

Right now we are working on a PC performance Review for Quantum Break, with full performance testing and analysis on a range of GPUs.

Quite amusing and to the point, but I think a throbbing penis on the blokes head would be more of a deterrent !Quote
