RISE: Race to the Future will be coming to Nintendo NX

VD-DEV, the creators of RISE: Race to the Future, has announced that their game will be coming to the next generation Nintendo NX console, hinting that the next Nintendo console will officially be known as the Nintendo NX.

We already know that the Nintendo NX will be releasing to the public in March 2017 alongside a new Zelda game, though at this time we do not know that exactly the Nintendo NX will be. Right now it is expected to be a more traditional console design that uses an AMD SoC that is more powerful than the PS4, though at this time nothing has been confirmed by Nintendo.

RISE: Race to the Future is a futuristic racing game where cars are powered by air lifting technology, which presumably means that the vehicles will float in mid-air, though at this time no gameplay for this game has been shown.

The game is expected to be fairly easy to run on PC, as the game will be launching not just on the Next generation Nintendo NX, but also the current generation PS4 and Xbox One but also the Wii U. There will also be a mobile version for 3DS, Android and IOS.

Nintendo's Wii U console is widely viewed as a failure by the public, mostly due to Nintendo being unable to hold 3rd party support on the platform, due to the relative weakness of the Wii U when compared to the PS4 and Xbox One and the lack of interest in the Wii U's unique gamepad.

Hopefully, Nintendo will launch the NX with a strong launch lineup that includes a variety of both 1st and 3rd party games, as Nintendo have proved time and time again with their console releases that they really need to try harder to maintain the support of 3rd party developers.
