RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti Performance Data Leaks - They're Powerful

Nvidia's RTX 4060 Ti allegedly bests their RTX 3080 in 3DMARK
Performance data for Nvidia's RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 has been released online through the leaker @QbitLeaks, who has alleged that these graphics cards are capable of delivering 3DMARK Time Spy Extreme scores of approximately 8,600 and 6,000 respectively. For content, that RTX 4060 Ti number is better than what an RTX 3080 can deliver.
Nvidia's RTX 4060 Ti is also alleged to consumer 270-280 watts of power, which is higher than Nvidia's RTX 3060 Ti, which consumes around 200W of power. the RTX 4060 is also said to consume around 230W or 240W of power, which is a 60-70W increase over Nvidia's RTX 3060.
If this leak is legitimate, Nvidia's giving their RTX 40 series graphics cards a huge power consumption boost at seemingly all levels. beyond that, both graphics cards were said to offer users average clock speeds of over 2,600MHz.
Nvidia's RTX 4060 series graphics cards are not expected to launch anytime soon. Nvidia's RTX 40 series will likely see Nvidia release their highest-end graphics card models first and trickle down to lower tiers of the GPU market as time progresses. This means that Nvidia's RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti are expected to launch in 2023.
@QBitleaks has stated that his performance data comes from RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti test boards. Nvidia reportedly has several configurations of these boards and has not finalised the specifications of either graphics card. That said, if this leaks is legitimate, these two test motherboards should give us an indication of the performance targets that both their RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 have.
If Nvidia's RTX 4060 Ti is aiming for their RTX 3080, how high are Nvidia aiming with their RTX 4080 or RTX 4090? Will the RTX 4070 deliver RTX 3090 numbers?

i hope that AMDs next generation is so good that nvidia is forced to release the midrange cards earlier then they want.
but then i guess AMD is playing the same game and will release their midrange cards also much later.

Repeating ad nauseum doesn't make it true. The 3070 with a $500 MSRP was as fast as the 2080 Ti. The 3060 Ti beat the 2080 Super. If that's what you call crap, then the 4000 series will be even crappier by comparison.Quote

As for the rest of the cards? dude, Turing was Pascal with RT bolted on. Ampere was the first proper RT generation and it was poor due to the partnership with Samsung. In fact, in progression terms it was worse than Fermi. This has been proven.
So getting this new tech on a decent die will make a huge difference. It will be what Ampere should have been.
What hurt Ampere the most was the clocks. They were worse than Turing. In fact, that will be the major factor with the 4000 cards. I am already hearing rumours they are hitting 2.5ghz, which goes a long way to explaining the power use. Basically when you have a technology as huge as this? power limits go out of the window.
That is also why AMD managed to do well with big Navi. Because of the clock speeds. They were higher than Nvidia across the board, by a good margin too.
At launch the 3080 and 3070 were crashing due to the "aggressive" clocks Nvidia set them to. IE they were over boosting, beyond their capabilities. Which IIRC was around 1900mhz or so. So they released a firmware lowering the clocks.
When you consider that a stock air cooled 6800XT reaches 2200 no sweat? that was because it was on TSMC. Mine? sits stock at 2450. That's a big clock gain VS Nvidia.
Talking of AMD? I hear rumours that Navi 3 will not be as impressive. Maybe because 4000 series will actually be impressive unlike Ampere and that will leave AMD behind by a big margin.
As I say though, if Ampere could have clocked higher? Nvidia would not have cared one bit about the power use. Problem is it just couldn't.Quote

Problem is? they will launch the 4090 and 80 first. You'll be waiting ages for one of these. And they WILL be more expensive, because of the return to TSMC.Quote
