Samsung has reportedly won a 14nm manufacturing contract from Nvidia

Samsung has reportedly won a contract from Nvidia to manufacture next generation Pascal GPUs on their 14nm FinFET process.

This report comes from the South Koren Newspaper Chosun Biz, who reports that the company will be creating next-generation Pascal GPUs by the end of the year, though the paper did not specify the value of the order or exactly what these new Pascal based products will be.

Provided that these reports are true, this could mean that Nvidia plans on moving away from TSMC for their next generation of GPUs, or that Nvidia has plans on using Samsung's 14nm process for their upcoming GPU products for self-driving cars or future mobile SoCs.

Right now both Nvidia and Samsung have not commented on these reports.
