Samsung Starts Mass Producing 10nm Class DRAM

Samsung Starts Mass Producing 10nm Class DDR4 DRAM chips, offering up to 20% power savings or 30% more performance than their 20nm counterparts.

These chips are 8Gb (1GB) in capacity, allowing these chips to easily facilitate the move to increasingly dense DDR4 memory DIMMs, allowing up to 128GB DDR4 memory DIMMs to be produced for the enterprise market. These new chips also support 3,200Mbps data transfer rates, which is a 30% increase over their 2400Mb/s transfer rates with their 20nm offerings.

Samsung’s 10nm-class DRAM will enable the highest level of investment efficiency in IT systems, thereby becoming a new growth engine for the global memory industry,

In the near future, we will also launch next-generation, 10nm-class mobile DRAM products with high densities to help mobile manufacturers develop even more innovative products that add to the convenience of mobile device users.
