Shadow of Mordor DLC Lets You Fight Sauron

Shadow of Mordor's Bright Lord DLC allows you to actually fight Sauron, a definite improvement over the game's original ending, which was a very disappointing quicktime event, which really rubbed me the wrong way as Shadow of Mordor had excellent combat mechanics.

In this DLC you play as Celebrimbor, the Elven Lord who was sealed within the protagonist of the main game, where he fights the forces of darkness thousands of years before Shadow of Mordor takes place. This DLC also promises a higher level of difficulty, so veteran uruk slayers will have a real challenge.

(In the trailer Sauron Looks like he is the final boss!)

"Return to the Second Age and face the Dark Lord Sauron. Play as Celebrimbor, the Elven Lord who forged the Rings of Power and return to Middle-earth thousands of years before the events of Shadow of Mordor."

Celebrimbor is flesh in this DLC, but he has very similar abilities to Talion, the protagonist of the main game, however Celebrimbor has an extra weapon in his arsenal, the Ring of Power. Using the Ring he can slow down time, allowing him to hit enemies faster, why you may ask? Because Video Games!

The Bright Lord DLC is available now for Shadow of Mordor for £6.99 here in the UK.

I second that.

Such an awesome awesome game. The only thing I'd like to change would be difficulty level and improvements on the ending. Looks like Eru Il├║vatar has granted my wish.Quote

I must say, this DLC is brutal. A lot harder than the base game.Quote
