Sony gives PSVR a 25% price cut
Sony gives PSVR a 25% price cut
In recent months we have seen significant price decreased for both the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive, making it only seem natural for Sony to follow suit, reducing the cost of their headset by 25% in both the US and UK, reducing its MSRP from $399/£359 to $299/£259, starting today.Â
Coinciding with this update is the release of Wipe-out Omega’s free PSVR update, though it is worth noting that Sony’s VR solution doesn’t ship with Move motion controllers included, requiring a premium VR bundle or independent Move controller purchases. The PSVR Starter Pack consists of a PSVR headset, a Sony PlayStation Camera, a download code for PlayStation VR Worlds and access to The Playroom VR.Â
Right now, Sony’s PSVR platform offers gamers exclusive access to titles like Skyrim VR, though this title will be coming to PC in the near future, with a planned release date of April 3rd.Â
