Star Wars Battlefront PC will not have Split-Screen

In EA's most recent blog post for Star Wars Battlefront many details about the game have been revealed, from the Y-Wing not being Flyable by players all the way to Split-Screen not being available on PC.

This article is about Split Screen not being available on the PC version of the game, which I see as a huge oversight, since PC gaming is quickly becoming more and more popular living room gaming platform, especially as Living Room Streaming options become more and more affordable and readily available.

Q. Is Split-screen available on PC?

A: Split-screen will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only.

Below is the rest of the EA QA session fro Star Wars Battlefront;

Q. How do vehicles spawn in Walker Assault?

A: In Walker Assault, vehicles are tied to the power up system. When you find a vehicle power up on the map, you will need to activate it, which immediately spawns you inside the vehicle.

Vehicle power ups specifically must be used within a certain amount of time. This is a design decision to allow more equal distribution of the vehicle power ups amongst all players.

Q. Can I fly the Y-wing?

A: Y-wings are non-player controlled vehicles. They are a support vehicle that you can call into battle within certain game modes.

Q. Is Split-screen available on PC?

A: Split-screen will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only.

Q. Does experience within Missions apply to Multiplayer progression?

A: Playing Missions does not grant you multiplayer career experience, but it does provide you with credit rewards you can spend on buying unlocks.

Right now I am unsure about Star Wars Battlefront, as a huge fan of the series, and Star Wars in general, I am unsure if EA are creating a true sequel to the original games, or simply just using the series name to create a licensed Battlefield game.

Star Wars Battlefront will release later this year on November 17th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Doesn't need it, and it's not a battlefield with a skin. That I can definitely tell you.Quote

Given the hassles playing BF4 on a LAN (fiddly port settings) I think it is a bit of an oversight.Quote

Since when can you BF4 at a lan? The dedicated server files are all NDA'd to the eyeballs. Have they been leaked while I've been away?Quote
