System Requirements Revealed for Batman: Arkham Knight

Given the popularity of it's predecessors, Batman: Arkham Knight is likely to be one of the most highly anticipated releases of this year. The Game is currently set to be released for the PC on 23rd June, 2015, and MSI have hinted that the game will be getting DirectX 12 support after launch.

Rocksteady and Nvidia have now confirmed what the minimum, recommended and ultra system requirements will be for the PC version of the game. The question is can you run it?

System Requirements Revealed for Batman: Arkham Knight

The minimum system requirements for the game follows a common trend for many recent PC releases, that being the requirement of a 64-Bit OS and a minimum requirement of 6GB or ram. On the Video card side the minimum is a GTX 660, with 2GB or VRAM, which is rather high, but not overly extreme. Sadly no AMD equivalent was listed.

Minimum System Requirements:

OS: Win 7 SP1, Win 8.1 (64-bit Operating System Required)

Processor: Intel Core i5-750, 2.67 GHz | AMD Phenom II X4 965, 3.4 GHz

Memory: 6 GB RAM

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660

Graphics Memory: 2 GB

DirectX®: 11

Network: Broadband Internet Connection Required

Hard Drive Space: 45 GB

Recommended System Requirements

OS: Win 7 SP1, Win 8.1 (64-bit Operating System Required)

Processor: Intel Core i7-3770, 3.4 GHz | AMD FX-8350, 4.0 GHz

Memory: 8 GB RAM

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760

Graphics Memory: 3 GB

DirectX®: 11

Network: Broadband Internet Connection Required

Hard Drive Space: 55 GB

ULTRA System Requirements

OS: Win 7 SP1, Win 8.1 (64-bit Operating System Required)

Processor: Intel Core i7-3770, 3.4 GHz | AMD FX-8350, 4.0 GHz

Memory: 8 GB RAM

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980

Graphics Memory: 3 GB

DirectX®: 11

Network: Broadband Internet Connection Required

Hard Drive Space: 55 GB

As many of you assume, cranking up the detail levels of the game makes the requirements get larger and larger, with Ultra requiring Nvidia's GTX 980 and a minimum of 3GB or VRAM and 8GB of system memory. Even the CPU requirements move up to AMD's Quad core Piledriver CPUs and Intel's Ivy bridge i7's.

You can be certain that Maxing out Arkham Knight will be a difficult task and with a storage requirement of 55GB it will be difficult to squeeze into an SSD.

I'm betting they put the 980 as Ultra just to be on the safe side.
All previous Arkham games ran like a dream, No AA and they run even better Quote

Welp, I meet the CPU requirement, but my 1GB of VRAM seems to be holding my rig back a bit...

To the author - You noted that for the ultra requirements you needed a quad core Piledriver CPU, it does need a quad module FX processor, but the 8350 is a octo core processor.Quote

since when did they make GTX 980s with 3GB vram?

It appears to have gameworks, hence no amd recommendations.Quote

I don't think that ultra would be "fine" with 8GB of total system RAM.
Also with the game getting DX12 support afterwards, you are going to need those 8 logic cores!
As for a gpu, if 3GB is fine a 780ti would run the game fairly good too!Quote
