Telltale's Batman Multiplayer is not intended for Twitch users

Telltale has clarified that their Batman Multiplayer mode is not intended for Twitch users due to latency issues while streaming. The mode is designed for 4-12 players in a single room.

This mode is designed to allow multiple players to impact the choices made in the game via a majority vote system, where the main player can set up a "Crowd Play" game which creates a URL that other players can log into using their phones, tablets, and other devices with internet browsing capabilities. Right now the only versions of the game without the host game option are the iOS and Andriod versions.

Telltale thinks that this new mode will allow players to participate in their games in a group "movie night" scenario, as their games are primarily story-based and the crowd dynamic could greatly affect the results of the game.

The game will feature an all-new gritty and violent Batman story where the choices that gamers make will have far-reaching consequences. Will Batman's identity be revealed if you make the wrong choices?

Enter the fractured psyche of Bruce Wayne and discover the powerful and far-reaching consequences of your choices as the Dark Knight. In this gritty and violent new story from the award-winning creators of The Walking Dead – A Telltale Games Series, you'll make discoveries that will shatter Bruce Wayne's world, and the already fragile stability of a corrupt Gotham City.

Batman: The Telltale Series will release on August 2nd for PC and consoles digitally, with the retail version releasing later on September 13th in the US and November 16th in the EU.
