The Denuvo DRM bypass has been fixed

The Denuvo DRM Bypass exploit has been fixed, meaning that Pirates can no longer play DOOM, Just Cause 3 and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Now Denuvo has blocked this activation method, preventing any new games from being activated and deactivating all other games at the next activation checkup time. Games that are already activated might function in Steam's offline mode, though this will only work for a limited time. Right now the Denuvo bypass is officially dead.

This "crack"/ DRM Bypassing method was created by a Bulgarian hacker called Voksi, who released cracked versions of DOOM, Rise of the Tomb Raider and several other Denuvo protected games, allowing the games to be run illegally over the weekend.

This Denuvo Bypassing method exploited a bug in Steam which allows users to play the full game while Steam thinks that the game is a free demo version. Now Denuvo has blocked this method, preventing anyone from pirating Denuvo protected games once again.

Denuvo has been cracked

Voksi, the hacker behind this Denuvo bypass has released the following statement, saying that over 600,000 pirates were able to play Denuvo protected games over the past 3 days, though these numbers cannot be verified.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. At least 600,000+ pirates were able to play the games in these 3 days. The Damage is done. Also remember that I could have kept this  only for me and my friends, but I decided to release it (the bypass) publically, even though I knew it might be fixed.

Denuvo, the best protection let their servers be breached by +600,000 users for 3 days. Lol. Great Job Denuvo.

Right now Denuvo remains uncracked and to date the best method that developers can use to protect their products from piracy. Will Denuvo remain unbroken forever? I guess we will have to wait and see.

Yeah, but somebody cracked Tomb Raider for real this time. No bypass apparently. It's only a matter of time before other Denuvo titles are cracked.

This is basically history repeating itself. These guys come up with a new anti-piracy measure, it takes hackers a few years to break it down and when they do it's smooth sailing for pirates. Same thing happened back in 2004 I think.Quote

Oh god, this is such an insult to injury.
2 days ago pirates found an exploit and managed to make a bypass in denuvo, weekend passed and the people at denovo updated and put a stop to the exploit. And now just few hours later the pirate group "CONSPIR4CY" cracked the brand new version of denuvo, and I dont mean a simple exploit, a real "old school" copy/paste crack.Quote

Denuvo constantly changes itself at a low level. See also the five or more cracks for Mad Max that all stopped working at set points in the game.

Without Denuvo you lose a lump of the game. And that lump is encrypted and constantly checks your hardware in order to work.

Denuvo also is not finite. The team coding it are constantly changing it so that one crack does not fit all. By the time these games are cracked the ship has already sailed IMO.

You'd have to be a right squeaker to wait for months for a game all of your friends are playing.

As I've said elsewhere there's no excuse to steal games any more. If they're pants you have recourse

BTW let's also not forget that these 'cracks' for the three games 'cracked' lately were no such thing. They were a back door that's been closedQuote
