The Division System Requirements Released

Tom Clancy's The Division is one of the most highly anticipated upcoming titles from Ubisoft, and thankfully the PC requirements are not as obscene as Assassin's Creed Unity's was.

For those who do not know much about The Division, Tom Clancy's The Division is developed by Massive Entertainment, the Sweden-based Ubisoft studio renowned for the World in Conflict series. The Division takes place in New York City after a lethal virus, which was released on Black Friday, swept through the city. In the days and weeks after, one by one, basic services and utilities failed, causing society as we know it to collapse amongst chaos. The Division, a top-secret unit of self-supporting tactical agents, is activated in order to attempt to re-establish order. Leading seemingly ordinary lives, Division agents are trained to operate independently of command in this type of emergency situation. When the lights go out, their mission begins.

"Our goal with Tom Clancy's The Division is nothing short of completely changing the way people play online RPGs," said Fredrik Rundqvist, executive producer, Ubisoft. "With the power of next-gen consoles behind it, The Division puts players in the middle of breathtaking, persistent multiplayer thriller in which they will explore, fight and work together as modern society collapses around them, all with the authenticity for which Tom Clancy's games are renowned."

It is great to see a AAA game from Ubisoft with very reasonable system requirements, unlike previous releases like Assassin's Creed Unity, where players to this day have performance issues. The Division is Ubisoft's chance to redeem itself, after a rather disastrous 2014. Let's hope The Division can live up to expectation. The Division is set to release sometime in 2015.

Remember guys that these specs remains just a rumour, as at present Ubisoft has not posted it on any official website. At present plenty of sites have posted these rumours, but as always it is never a true indication of validity.

I'm just waiting to see how Ubisoft manage to screw this one up. I'm going to go with either a) bust servers or b) laughable amount of DLCQuote
