The Unreal Engine 4 Shadow Moses Project has been canceled

The Unreal Engine 4 Shadow Moses Project has been canceled due to reasons that are beyond their control, but they have teased that they will have other news coming soon. Below is the announcement of the cancellation of their Shadow Moses Project.

Hi guys!

We have an important announcement to make today:

We have to cancel the Shadow Moses Project for reasons beyond our control.

We would like to thank everyone for the tremendous support we have received.

Shadow Moses team.

The Unreal Engine 4 Shadow Moses Project has been canceled

Right now it is unknown why the project was cancelled, but it seems likely that Konami may have taken action against the developer, perhaps in the form of a cease and desist letter.

The Shadow Moses project was not intended to become a full fan remake of any of Metal Gear Solid, but act as a "museum game" that allows gamers to explore the environment using modern technology.

It was clear that this recreation of Shadow Moses was a passion project of a true Metal Gear fan, so it is a real shame to see the development of the game end so suddenly.

Not surprised one bit, when I first saw the demo all I kept thinking was Konami is going to sue some for this.

It was a very brave move to use MGS to replicate in another engine for a demo but it was only ever going to end in a cease and desist. Konami surely must recognise talent in the programmer though and I hope he does well in the future.Quote

Snake answer me!......snake.......SNAAAAAKE!!!!!!!!

but really this was never going to happen. Look what they did to Kojima, they sacked him and cut his name from a virtually finished game.Quote
