The Witcher 3 Has already sold over 4 Million Copies

In just 2 weeks The Witcher 3 has already sold over 4 Million copies worldwide, making the game one of the most popular releases ever. CD  Projekt Red has so far done a great job supporting this title, having already issued 5 patches to fix any of issues gamers have faced while playing their massive open world adventure game.

In an open letter which was addressed to the gamers of the world, CD Projeckt Red's Founder, Martin Iwinski, issued a thank you to everyone who has purchased or otherwise supported the title so far, saying this;

“May 19th was a crucial date for all of us here at CD PROJEKT RED — we released The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, our open world role-playing game that we had been hard at work on for over 3 years. Since day one, you have given us tons of positive feedback and support — the sheer volume of emails we’ve gotten since launch simply congratulating us for our efforts is both epic and heartwarming,”

“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the four million gamers worldwide who bought The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the first two weeks from launch. Four million RPG fans spending their hard-earned money on our game is a sign that we did something right, and you can be sure that we’ll harness all that positive energy and make the upcoming expansions worthy of the grand adventure that you’re telling us Wild Hunt already is”.

The Witcher 3 Has already sold over 4 Million Copies

The Witcher 3 is easily one of the best titles to be released in 2015, providing an engrossing story, amazing visuals and fantastic gameplay, even the game's in game card game has been compared to standalone digital TCGs like Hearthstone.

The game is already a huge success by anyone's standard. The game has relatively few bugs, patches and fixes are coming out quickly, the game performs well on most hardware (provided that you do not use HairWorks on PC) and has been receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews.

The Witcher 3 can be easily described as a gaming masterpiece and we hope that CD Projekt will continue to deliver us great products like this well into the future.

Well deserved I think! It's a shame about the graphical downgrade that happened but from my experience so far this is a wonderful game that deserves all the credit it gets and we have the potato users to blame for the graphics.

Just one thing to say about the article though

"even the game's in game card game has been compared to standalone digital TCGs like Hearthstone."

Proof; that non-DRM based games still sell very well, if they deserve it. I wonder what other developers excuses will be? Hehehe Quote

Honestly I'm annoyed at this. A company that flat out lied with its marketing, released a highly unoptimised engine, and screwed over pc gamers in favour for console owners has basically been told that doing all of that is the way to succeed and make money. And people wonder why publishers and developers have become so bad.Quote
