CD Projekt Release new Screenshots for The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine Expansion

The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion will release on May 31st

The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion will release on May 31st with 90 new quests, a new Skellige region Gwent deck and over 30 hours of new content.

Originally the developers of the game stated that the game would include 24 hours worth of new content and a new region that was the size of the islands of Skellige, but now the developers state that the region is as large as No Man's Land, Velen, from the base game and that the expansion will take 30 hours to complete.

This means that the expansion holds a lot more content than was originally intended and represents quite a lot of value since the expansion pass costs only £19.99.

Blood and Wine makes The Witcher 3 complete — it’s Geralt’s final mission. Containing more than 90 new quests, and over thirty hours of brand new adventures, it’s something that I think gamers will remember for a long time.

There’s also a massive amount of features we’re giving gamers with this expansion like a dynamic Point of Interest system, a new Gwent deck, new endgame mutation mechanics, and even a place Geralt can call home…. And it’s all happening in a new region as big as No Man’s Land in the base game.

The Witcher 3â??s Expansion Blood and Wine will release on May 31st

Blood and Wine will be a new expansion for The Witcher 3, which will take players around 30 hours to complete, making it rival the base games main campaign in total length. The expansion will take place in the new region of Toussaint, an area of in Nilfgaard that is untainted by the war taking place in the Northern Kingdoms, where the carefree populace hides a bloody secret.

CD Projekt states that the foliage and grass in the game will receive an overhaul with this new expansion. It was also stated that all the grass in the entire Witcher 3 game will likely be replaced by CD Projekt's new "Blood and Wine" Grass.

The Blood and Wine expansion is expected to be played by those who have already completed the main game, adding many new endgame level mutations and mechanics, increasing the level cap of the game to 100 from 70 in the base game.

Geralts final mission? I hope that doesn't mean he dies
That would really irratate me considering they said they aren't done with Witcher, but aren't working on anything for a while. If he did, I'd suspect Ciri would become the main characterQuote

TBH I just think that it will be the final game, Geralt has had his story told and CD Project has better things to do than give him a reboot or sequel him to death.

I would love to see something else in the Witcher Universe, but Geralt even at the start of the Witcher 3 already knew everyone important and was a master of his craft. If there is going to be another Witcher game it needs some new blood.Quote

Nah they said the witcher series wasn't done, but they wanted to work on something besides Swords and Spells for once since they been doing it for 15 years. Understandable, but in the books I don't think Geralts is completely done compared to the Games. If he is, then super unfortunate. He's such a intriguing character who is really unique. I'd love to see more, but new characters as well who are very much the focus. Kinda ease Geralts out. I can understand you wanting some new blood, but he's a personal favorite of mine is all

Although I'll be getting this pack, just to see the end game for sure.Quote
