AMD has just announced that for a limited time Total War: Warhammer will be available for FREE with select AMD Radeon R9 390 series GPUs or AMD 8-core FX series Processors.

With Creative Assembly, the creators of Total War: Warhammer, having already announced a partnership with AMD and DirectX 12 support for the title we can expect AMD to provide the best performance for this game, at least on currently available hardware.

This will be the first Total War game to support 64-Bit and the new DirectX 12 API thanks to a hardware partnership with AMD, which will likely make this the best running Total War game to date at launch.

Creative Assembly has chosen AMD as exclusive GPU partner to bring Total War: Warhammer as a DirectX 12 game to market.

Total War games have in the past been demanding on both the CPU and the GPU, meaning that all of DirectX 12's primary benefits will be utilized, allowing for the game to more easily utilize more CPU cores and reduce CPU overhead, as well as better load the GPUs for greater performance.

Hopefully this carries over to Polaris. Very nice to see this bundle though. Good win for AMD hereQuote
