UK RX 6600 XT Pricing Leaked Via Overclockers UK

Thanks to a glitch on Overclockers UK's website, we have managed to get a look at the company's launch day RX 6600 XT prices. Thanks to this, we can reveal how much AMD's high-end 1080p RDNA 2 graphics cards should cost when they launch tomorrow (August 11th).

Thanks to a global shortage of graphics cards, the prices of most graphics cards are far above their manufacturer suggested MSRPs. As such, a lot of people are not optimistic about the RX 6600 XT's MSRP of $379. Add on the premium heatsinks of AMD's AIB partners and inflated global shipping costs, and most gamers were expecting prices north of £400 in the UK.

Should Overclockers UK's pre-launch prices prove to be correct, AMD's R 6600 XT will cost somewhere between £374.99 and £499.99 in the UK. While these prices are much higher than most gamers expect from a graphics card that targets 1080p gaming, we have seen much worse pricing situations this year.

Below is a chart of the RX 6600 XT prices that we should see on Overclockers UK's websites. These graphics cards are due to become available to order on August 11th. Please note that Overclockers UK may edit these prices before the RX 6600 XT's official launch.

Compared to the RX480 i think the prices are fairly reasonable. I couldnt afford one myself yet perhaps in a year Quote

The RX 480 was around £200-250 on release and only went down from there. The 6600XT has almost doubled since then for a similar tiered card. AMD is taking the micky. Prices for parts have increased since then, but by 80-100%?Quote

If the performance matched (ideally beat) the price increase then fair enough. But it didn't. Just like the 3060/ti the value is terrible. In the US we're paying almost $400 for 1080p performance. Just dreadful. We used to pay $200.Quote

All brands are guilty of the pricing so not a single GPU is value for money atm.

But the scalpers made it so easy for the brands to charge more, can hardly blame them they are not a charity, even at retail they are way above where they should be going back to the start of all this.

The days of a midrange being £200 are long gone that's more likely to be the 3050 and 6500 than anything else and even then it'll likely be a fair chunk more.Quote

To be honest the prices are cheaper than i expected and i'm thinking the cheapest model from Sapphire would be a good replacement for my dead GTX 1080 from a folding point of view and playing the odd game now and then.Quote
