Uraniom lets you import your own face into games

Have you ever wanted to play as yourself in a game? Now with Uraniom you can import a 3D model of your own face into games like GTA:V, Fallout 4, Skyrim and CS:GO.

To get a 3D model of your own face you will need to 3D scan yourself with a device that is compatible with a 3D sensor, like devices that are compatible with the structure sensor or tablets and webcams that feature Intel Realsense R200 technology.

After you have your own 3D model you can use the app to create a custom avatar for compatible games, allowing you to size and place your head perfectly into games. You can then use the app to install your new avatar into your game of choice.

Basically, a 3D scan is an empty shell, with a set of points defining a volume, which is covered by a picture. Thanks to proprietary algorithms, we add to this 3D object complementary data that makes it compatible with the graphics and animations engine of a game.

Adding content to improve the game experience should not be restricted to the most dedicated fans. This is why we created a system that allows for extremely simple avatar integration, into existing games we already love.

Right now the application supports FIFA 15, ARMA III, Grand Theft Auto V, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 4 and Counterstrike: Global Offensive on the PC platform, but the company does state that compatible console games will become available later this year.

This technology is something that will interest a lot of gamers, be it RPG fans who want to play as themselves or multiplayer gamers who want to their opponents to know exactly who they are.
