Watch Dogs 2 will be announced on Wednesday

While Ubisoft's Watch Dogs was not that well-received by a lot of gamers and critics Watch Dogs was a financial success for Ubisoft, with rumors of a sequel coming even before the original game launched.

Now Ubisoft has confirmed that Watch Dog 2 does exist and that they will be officially announcing the game on June 8th at 9am PST, which is 5pm here in the UK. Right now there is no clear information on the game, but previous rumors have suggested that the game will support Microsoft's new DirectX 12 API, hopefully meaning that this game will not be as much of a performance hog on PC as it's predecessor.

Whatever they show let's all remember first WatchDogs so no matter how well it looks noone should hype up for it or even worse, pre-order it.Quote

But if we know that something is going to be announced and we know the exact date, doesn't that mean that it's already been announced? What's the point of announcing an announcement?Quote

It got better though. Albeit still not good enough to warrant preordering.Quote

More headlines. More exposure, more possible chance of higher preorders, more money. All for saying the same thing twice.Quote
