World of Warcraft Legion Release date and system requirements announced

While World of Warcraft may be an ancient game by normal standards it still manages to both remain relevant and maintain a large player based, even now when the game is almost 12 years old.

Today the release date and PC system requirements for World of Warcraft: Legion, the game's upcoming expansion, have been announced, with the new expansion coming on August 30th with higher PC system requirements than the previous expansion.

The great enemy of Azeroth is back, and soon the kingdoms of the Horde and the Alliance will be consumed in a storm of fel fire. Starting August 30, realms will shatter, heroes will fall, and the world will stand on the brink of destruction with the launch of World of Warcraft: Legion, the sixth expansion for Blizzard Entertainment’s acclaimed massively multiplayer online role-playing game.

In DX9 mode, which is still available in WoW, the 4850 is faster than the 5670. What is Blizzard smoking? Quote

I have Mists of Pandaria collectors edition I don't know if I will play anymore My mage Tolemac has 341 days played on him so I think i've played the game to death If I do i'll realm change but won't pay for a character transfer like I did before. I will just make another Character on a different realm as I can access my heirlooms through the interface now.Quote

The AMD HD4xxx series is too old to post in a system requirement for a game now as AMD don't even provide Legacy drivers for them anymore and you have to settle with whatever Windows can find for your card. So if the 5670 can run the game as a minimum it makes perfect sense as it still has legacy driver support (for a little while anyway).Quote
