Corsair releases a range of wireless gaming devices

One of the major themes of Corsair’s presence at CES 2017 is “unplug and play”, with the company releasing a variety of new wireless peripherals. All of these wireless devices utilise Corsair’s ultra-fast 1ms 2.4GHz wireless technology, ensuring that these peripherals do not suffer from the same input lag issues as wireless devices of old.

The first of these new devices is the Corsair K63 wireless mechanical gaming keyboard, which comes with Cherry MX Red key switches and ships with blue LED illumination, which is customisable using Corsair’s Utility Engine (CUE). This device can be used with Corsair’s fast 1ms 2.4GHz wireless or with standard Bluetooth wireless for supported devices, or use a wired USB connection if required. The battery life of this keyboard is 75 hours, giving the K63 enough power to outlast even the most hardcore of gamers.

A key feature of this keyboard is its inclusion of 128-bit AES encryption, which protects the keyboard from wireless eavesdropping, ensuring that your keystrokes are safe, regardless of where you use this device.

The K63 is designed to be portable, offering the ability to quickly slot in and out of Corsair’s new K63 Wireless gaming lapboard, which will allow you keyboard to rest on your lap and give users an ideal mousing surface for use in the living room. This board has a memory foam cushion to make this lapboard a delight to use, with a replaceable mouse pad to allow the Lapboard to withstand the test of time.

The second device that Corsair has shown at CES is the DARK CORE RGB mouse, shipping with both standard and SE (special edition) variants. Both versions utilise the same 1ms 2.4GHz wireless solution as the K63 keyboard, while also offering Bluetooth backup for use on compatible devices.

A wired mode is also available for both versions, though the Special Edition version also comes with Qi WIreless charging support, which is where the MM1000 Qi Wireless charging Mousepad comes in. This wireless charger within the surface of the work surface, with an adapter to allow the mousemat to charge Micro USB, Type-C and Lightning devices, as well as electronics with built-in Qi charging support.

The CORSAIR K63 Wireless, K63 Wireless Gaming Lapboard, DARK CORE RGB, DARK CORE RGB SE and the MM1000 are all backed by a two-year warranty, with availability this month from the Corsair online store.
