Most PC users will have a drink relatively close to their keyboards, be it a bottle of water, a cup of tea or even something more exotic. This proximity makes spillages an inevitability for some, causing many a great deal of heartache as they wonder whether or not their favourite keyboard is damaged.

Corsair alleviated this issue with the release of their K68, which at the time was released exclusively with red LED backlighting. Corsair has come forward with a new model, one that offers the same IP32 accredited levels of water and dust protection while providing the style and pizzaz that can only be delivered by a full RGB lighting setup.

The K68 RGB uses a mostly clear rubber gasket to protect the keyboard’s Cherry MX Red keys from spillages, while also allowing the light from the K68’s RGB keys to diffuse slightly more for an enhanced lighting effect. This gasket won’t protect the keyboard from full underwater submersion, but it will keep water from getting into or under the keys in the event of a spillage.

Like all modern Corsair RGB keyboards, the K68 RGB can be customised using Corsair’s Utility Engine (CUE), allowing the keyboard to synchronise with other RGB devices to create a unique lighting setup.
