KFC partners with ASUS ROG to create custom KFC Gaming keycaps

KFC Gaming Returns! KFC is giving away custom ASUS ROG keycaps with its burgers in China

Gamers should know that KFC isn’t new to the world of gaming. It wasn’t that long ago that KFC were teasing their “KFConsole”, a joke system that eventually became a real (upgradable) gaming PC thanks to ASUS, Cooler Master, and Intel. 2019 also saw KFC release their “I Love You, Colonel Sanders!” dating sim, which is still available for free on Steam. Now, KFC has teamed up with ASUS ROG to offer their customers custom KFC X ROG keycaps for their gaming systems.

These custom keycaps are exclusive to KFC restaurants in China. These keycaps will be given away with KFC’s new Wagyu burger, at least while stocks last.

KFC’s ROG keycaps utilise Cherry MX-style stems, ensuring compatibility with most mechanical keyboards. These keycaps are part of KFC China’s “Fortress of Faith” campaign. During this campaign, customers could win ROG prizes, with the best being a full ROG Gaming PC.

Given the Chinese exclusivity and the sheer absurdity of these custom keycaps, it is no surprise that a second-hand market has formed around these keycaps. Today, international customers can find these keycaps for sale, often at inflated prices. Clearly, there’s demand for KFC-branded gaming products outside of China.
