Microsoft Expand Bluetrack Range With Two New Mice
Microsoft Expand Bluetrack Range With Two New Mice
Â
Late last year Microsoft debuted a new tracking technology that uses a blue beam and wide-angle “specular optics architecture” to work on a wider range of surfaces than traditional optical or laser mice. Since then they have been hard at work preparing two new mice based on the Bluetrack technology, hoping to reach out to netbook users who take their systems everywhere they go. With a number of awards to their name for the technology, and recognition around the world, it’s only natural that Microsoft would seek to further expand the product range.
Â
That they have done, and two new mice in the form of the Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 and Wireless Mobile Mouse 5000 are coming in June. The Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 features a sleek, ambidextrous design with chrome accents, and is the first Microsoft mouse to have a nano transceiver which can remain plugged in to the computer, or easily snap into the back of the mouse for storage/transportation. The Wireless 5000 also features an ambidextrous design and a snap in receiver for taking on the go.

Also arriving in June, is the Wireless Desktop 3000 based on 2.4GHz wireless technology. The compact design allows for use on even the most cramped working areas, and with a thin profile and soft-touch palm rest the keyboard is very comfortable to use. The plug and play keyboard uses a mini transceiver and is ideal for netbook users that prefer a standard keyboard layout.

Â
The Wireless 3000 keyboard will cost $69.99 bundled with the Wireless Mobile Mouse 5000, or $39.99 each if purchased on their own, with the Wireless Mobile Mouse priced at the higher cost of $49.99. All three items are backed by Microsoft’s worldwide three-year limited hardware warranty.
