Steam Controller has been Finalised

Valve's Steam controller has been finalised, with the new controller being shown off at GDC right now. This comes after Valve announces Stean Link, their affordable Steam In-Home Streaming Solution, the Source Engine 2, which will support the Vulcan API and their new VR Headset.

Here is a video showcasing the controller, courtesy of Kotaku.

Right now the controller has two track pads, a analog stick and the usual Xbox style X,Y,B,A start and select buttons. The back and top of the device also includes the usual Right and left bumper and trigger buttons and at the rear of the device there is two extra buttons which could make the controller much more suited to games where traditional controllers are limited by the number of buttons on the gamepad (like a lot of PC games).

The Steam controller will launch in November this year for the price of $50, alongside the official Steam Machine Launch and the release of the Steam Link streaming device.

So, they actually did show it at GDC as they said they would? Looks interesting. I think that may be the first controller I'd ever buy.Quote

Looks good, however I'd prefer more left hand buttons. Not entirely sure how they'd do that thoughQuote
