Biwin launch DW100 Ultra Low Latency (ULL) memory for AMD Ryzen CPUs
Biwin is releasing its first AMD EXPO Ultra Low Latency (ULL) DDR5 memory kits
Biwin has officially expanded its Black Opal DW100 series of DDR5 memory modules with new AMD EXPO Ultra Low Latency (ULL) modules. The company’s first AMD EXPO ULL memory kit offers 48GB of memory capacity (2x24GB) and DDR5-6000 speeds with CL28 timings.
With AMD EXPO ULL support, these new memory kits optimise secondary memory timings to boost memory performance. These optimised timings include tightened tREFI, tRRDS, and tWRWRSCL timings. These changes increase gaming performance in CPU/memory-limited scenarios.
Through internal testing, Biwin achieved an 8% and 11.91% increase in average and 1st percentile framerates in Counter-Strike 2. This was achieved on a test system with an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X CPU and an Nvidia RTX 5070 GPU. In Black Myth Wukong, Biwin reported an 18.18% increase in minimum framerate. Both games were tested at 1080p.
Right now, it is unknown how much these new DW100 EXPO ULL DDR5 memory kits will cost, or when they will be available in the UK. As 2x24GB memory kits, these modules will be much more expensive than standard 2x16GB memory kits. Furthermore, their tighter memory timings will make them more desirable for PC enthusiasts.
